The modern city life is one characterized by great entertainment, communication, and convenience. Many foods like broccoli and avocado have high levels of these vitamins as well as magnesium, and are therefore especially good for stress.

Some more nutrients which are critical in combating the effects of stress are omega-3 fatty acids. Essential fats like omega-3s are beneficial in many ways, especially for the brain. Go for fatty fish like salmon, tuna, herring, or halibut to get a big dose of omega-3. If fish isn’t your thing, go for flaxseeds or some of the various oils which contain high levels of this essential fat such as flaxseed oil, walnut oil, cod liver oil, and extra virgin olive oil.

Now just eating a few of these foods mixed into an otherwise terrible diet will not solve your problems, you need to eat a healthy diet and get as much sleep and exercise as possible to be happy and stress free.
